Residency Pathway Assessment: build the criteria into the decision, not after it.
The criteria for Singapore permanent residence and the Dubai Golden Visa are set out in published government rules. What YUDA Consulting does is assess where you stand against them and refer you onward — so you know your position before you commit to tuition or a property.
YUDA Consulting is not a licensed immigration agency · no filing, no filing fees, no guarantee of approval
Residency is not a separate matter — it follows from the first two
YUDA Consulting does not sell residency. What we do is connect published residency rules back to the two things you are already doing: earning a US doctorate, and buying a verified overseas property. Both already appear on the eligibility lists of several countries.
Core 1 · Qualification criteria
The UAE golden visa category for exceptional talent and rare specializations publicly lists doctoral degree holders and specialists in priority scientific and engineering fields. The degree you take for your career is also a document you can cite in an application.
Core 2 · Asset criteria
The Dubai golden visa property category has an explicit monetary threshold. The question was never whether you can buy — it is whether the price holds up. That is exactly what G8.AI Global Property Check is for: confirm the price is sound first, then let the asset support the application.
Core 3 · Assessment and referral
We lay both sets of rules side by side, match them against your current qualifications, assets, revenue and timeline, and assess which pathway is workable and where the gaps are. When the time comes, we refer you to local partner firms who handle the application under local law.
Six eligibility categories, all submitted online
These are the permanent residence eligibility categories published by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). ICA does not publish its assessment scoring, so any claim about "the score you need to pass" has no official basis. All applications must be submitted online; the fee is S$100, and ICA states that complete applications are processed within six months.
01Spouse of a citizen or permanent resident
Sponsored by a spouse who is a Singapore citizen or PR, submitted through the ICA e-Service using Singpass.
02Unmarried child under 21
Limited to children born within a legal marriage or legally adopted, sponsored by a parent who holds status.
03Aged parent of a Singapore citizen
Sponsored by a Singapore citizen child aged 21 or over, submitted using Singpass.
04Employment Pass or S Pass holder
Commonly known as the PTS route. Submitted by the applicant through the ICA e-Service using Singpass; no employer filing is required.
05Student studying in Singapore
Students who have passed a Singapore national examination or are enrolled in an Integrated Program. Applicants aged 15 and over use Singpass; a separate non-Singpass channel exists for those under 15.
06Foreign investor
Not through the general ICA channel: applications go to the Economic Development Board (EDB) under the Global Investor Program (GIP). Criteria below.

Three investment options, four applicant profiles
GIP is administered by the Economic Development Board and is the only official route to Singapore permanent residence through investment. The thresholds are high, and which option an applicant may take depends on their own operating track record — capital alone does not open every door. The following is based on EDB's official GIP Factsheet (21 February 2025).
Options A / B / C
At least three years of entrepreneurial track record; company turnover of at least S$200 million in the most recent year and on a three-year average; at least 30% shareholding in the privately held company; the company must operate in an approved industry.
Options A / B / C
Founder and one of the largest individual shareholders of a non-listed company; company valuation of at least S$500 million; backed by reputable venture capital or private equity; the company must operate in an approved industry.
Options A / B / C
At least five years of entrepreneurial, investment or management experience; net investible assets of at least S$200 million, excluding real estate.
A fourth profile, next-generation business owner, requires family shareholding of at least 30% or largest-shareholder status, company turnover of at least S$500 million, and the applicant to sit at C-level or on the board — this profile is limited to Option C. Criteria and amounts are subject to EDB's latest GIP Factsheet.
The property threshold is clear — the real question is whether the property is worth it
The UAE golden visa is a long-term residence permit that does not require a local sponsor. In Dubai, the property investor category is handled by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA Dubai); the thresholds and process are published.
Property investor10 years
Requires ownership of one or more properties with a combined value of no less than AED 2 million. Per GDRFA, mortgaged property is acceptable and all property types apply; a title certificate from the Dubai Land Department (DLD) is required, and a lien is placed on the property for the ten-year validity period.
- GDRFA states a processing time of 5 business days
- Fee: AED 1,100, plus Knowledge Dirham AED 10 and Innovation Dirham AED 10
- Domestic fee AED 500 and delivery AED 20; an additional AED 100 per year applies after two years of residence
Public investment10 years
An investor category based on a minimum capital of AED 2 million. It follows a different review route from the property category and requires different documents.
Exceptional talent and rare specializations10 years
The categories officially listed include doctors, scientists, inventors, creatives in culture and the arts, senior executives, athletes, doctoral degree holders, and specialists in priority scientific and engineering fields.
Entrepreneurs and outstanding students5–10 years
Entrepreneurs must evidence an innovative or technical project and obtain a letter from a business incubator or an emirate authority. Outstanding students fall into two bands: secondary school (5 years) and top universities (10 years).

We state this boundary up front, not in a footnote
Under Taiwan's Immigration Act, filing for residence, permanent residence, settlement or naturalization — and immigration-related consulting — are immigration services requiring a license from the National Immigration Agency. YUDA Consulting does not hold that license, so the boundary below is substantive, not rhetorical.

Every threshold traces back to an official publication
Residency rules change often, and the thresholds circulating online are frequently out of date. This page cites only current published material from the responsible authorities, with sources noted; the date of reference is updated whenever the page is.

Find out where you stand before deciding whether to proceed
If you are already studying for a doctorate, or evaluating a property in Dubai or Singapore, you may be closer to one of these pathways than you think — or further away. A single consultation maps your qualifications, assets, revenue and timeline against the rules, and sets out clearly which parts we can research and compare, and which must be executed by local professional firms.
